Creative Practice
I am self-taught, and began weaving completely DIY in the winter of 2017. I have no formal artistic training or qualifications, and though I focus on weaving, I also create tufted and embroidered work. I create out of my home studio in Aberdeenshire, and am a member of Scottish Artists Union.
I mainly work with natural yarns to create textured, non-linear artistic pieces, prioritising colour and shape to create emotive pieces. I also sell textile jewellery and homeware.
