Working primarily with wool, I centre my practice around weaving. My inspiration is a blend of my Scottish upbringing, and the juxtaposition of the neccessity of wool, with play.
A self-taught artist, I explore the interchange between colours, textures, patterns and shape. I like to provoke earnestness and fun, familiarity and confusion in my work. I like to convey a sense of belonging through familiar palettes, and intrigue through their uses or textures.
I dedicate a lot of time to cultivating community within my creative practice, facilitating various workshops, drop-ins and meet-ups to help others explore and nurture their own artistic interests.
Originally from the North-East of Scotland, I now live and work in Los Angeles, California.
